The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate scholarships that support outstanding and versatile students at the University of Oxford.
Founded by the will of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, Rhodes is the oldest and arguably the most prestigious international scholarship program in the world.
The Rhodes Scholarship is provided primarily by the University of Oxford in the UK.
The Rhodes Trust, Oxford, United Kingdom administers the Rhodes Scholarship. They distribute scholarships to 20 Districts of Rhodes (64 different countries) around the world.
To qualify for this scholarship, however, you must be a young leader of outstanding intelligence and character, motivated to tackle global issues.
You must also be committed to serving others and demonstrate a promise to become a values leader, a principled leader of the world's future. These are the criteria that guide the selection committee of Rhodes.

To be eligible for the Rhodes Scholarships, you must meet the following requirements:
Level / Field of study
The Rhodes Foundation Scholarship is available for full-time graduate studies. (including a two-year bachelor's degree) from the University of Oxford.
With the Rhodes Scholarship, you can complete any master's degree of your choice at the University of Oxford. This is an opportunity to study in Europe for free.

The Rhodes Scholarship 2022 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. This scholarship provides a living allowance. (£15,144 per annum), all university and college fees, and university entrance fees.

How to Apply for the Rhodes Scholarship for International Students (2021-2023)

Step by step application process:
(1) You can apply online at http://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/scholarships/ apply under the 'Scholarships' tab..
(2) You must apply online with all supporting documents by the deadline..
(3) In preparing to apply, you should carefully read the general information, in particular the 'Scholarships' tab on the Rhodes website, the Rhodes Scholarship Terms and Conditions, the information contained in this document, and the Oxford University Postgraduate Admissions pages: www.ox .ac.uk/admissions/graduate.
(4) Selected candidates will be invited to social events and to a final interview. You must be prepared to attend both events in person as these events cannot be organized on any given day or at any particular time. No candidate will be selected without an interview. Travel expenses are paid by the Rhodes Trust and cover the cost of round trip travel on a first class rail ticket, but exclude hotel expenses. International travel for participants from abroad is not funded.
(5) All applicants will receive the results of their application by email.
Required documents :
Broadly speaking, all districts will need the following materials in various forms :
CV / Resume or list of main activities. (Please do not include a photo on your resume for this scholarship.)
Evidence of academic achievement/transcript (completed or in progress) of undergraduate and any postgraduate studies
Personal statement or essay (including, critically, a clear statement of what the applicant wants to study at Oxford and why)

Proof of age / birth certificate / passport

Four letters of recommendation from assessors who can confidentially attest to the applicant's character and intelligence, including academic, personal, extra-curricular and leadership accomplishments (and which should never include people you are associated with).
Selection procedure:
Selection for the Rhodes Scholarship is without funding.
Selection for the Rhodes Scholarship is made without regard to marital status, race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, social origin, disability, caste, or other unimportant differences.
Providing such information in the 'Outreach' section of the application form is optional, but helps us to ensure the fairness of the selection process and the effectiveness of the work with candidates.; the participants of the selection will only see summary statistics of these answers in an anonymous form, which cannot be attributed to a specific person.
You are applying for the Rhodes Scholarship to enter Oxford University in October. 2021; the reward cannot be delayed.
Position selection procedure:
Please note that successful candidates will need to apply to Oxford University very soon after selection. Full details will be provided after selection.
Full details of successful applicants will be available at Rhodes House, Oxford, where scholarship recommendations can be reused, if needed, to support a successful candidate's subsequent submission to the University of Oxford.
Successful applicants will be asked to report in confidence any health conditions or special needs that may require academic or personal support at Oxford.
This disclosure is entirely voluntary and is only required so that Rhodes House can provide the necessary support at Oxford and make the transition to Oxford as smooth as possible.
When does the Rhodes Scholarship start?
The Rhodes Scholarship starts one year after the application is submitted. That is, after receiving the Rhodes Scholarship, you will move to Oxford at the end of September next year.

The Rhodes Scholarship grants the recipient:
1. Residential Scholarship (£15,144 per annum);
2. All fees at universities and colleges;
e. One economy class airfare to Oxford at the start of the scholarship and one economy class airfare back to the student's home country at the end of the scholarship.
4. University admission fee;
5. The duration of the fellowship is two years, always subject to satisfactory academic performance and personal conduct. Upon application, the fellowship may be extended to a third year for those on a recognized path to a Ph.D. (Ph.D.).
